Summary:
The Game Design Director will work in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment and assume the responsibilities outlined below.
Key Responsibilities:
·Strategically plan the work of their design team, taking into account development priorities and resources.
·Collaborate and provide advice on game element development to ensure they are used effectively during the experience.
·Develop all types of content management methods, game design intent documents (for all games and all maps), macrostructure, level design documentation, game direction documents, etc.
·Be open to the needs of your team and be proactive to promote creativity.
·Develop and shape game systems and mechanics and gain team buy-in.
·Inspire and motivate the team to achieve project goals.
·Write high-quality game design documents that contain solid constraint loops and communicate concepts and requirements to the team clearly.
·Master, support and complete the game concept vision.
·Master the conceptualization of the game loop that stimulates the player motivations that the vision wishes to develop.
·Conceptualize, communicate and document the mechanics, user interface (UI) flows, game loops and progression that support the game direction.
·Design and create optimized wireframe screen flows for engagement and monetization.
·Establish, maintain and improve relationships with internal and external creative resources.
·Ability to create scripts and adjust the game, level design and other practical aspects of game design.
Qualifications:
·5-10 years' experience as a game designer and at least 3 years as a director, or any other relevant experience in the console game industry.
·Work experience on a published game, from design to release, preferably on at least one AAA-open world title on console.
·Knowledge of how to work with graphical team members and other project team members.
·Ability to formulate ideas and communicate with the art direction and make constructive suggestions.
·Good team spirit.
·Ability to adapt to change.
·A proactive and independent attitude.
·Ability to solve problems and have an open mind.
·Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to adapt to changes.
